The four-building, campus-type development fronts Timberloch Place, a four-lane divided roadway that connects directly to Interstate Highway 45 approximately one mile to the east. It is easily accessible from George Bush Intercontinental Airport, which is 16 miles to the south.
Located just north of Houston, Texas, which many consider the "Oil and Gas Capital of the World," and which is the home of numerous multi-national petroleum companies, Trans Ionics is well positioned to market its energy- related technology. In addition, to the oil industry, however, Houston is also home to major natural gas and electricity suppliers such as Reliant Electric, which realizes that natural gas will play a major role as a fuel for solid oxide fuel cells.
